Online logistics for Holcim Switzerland

Top-class supply chain event management (SCEM)

Holcim (Schweiz) AG has streamlined their order-to-cash (O2C) process for the processing of cement orders with the groundbreaking SCEM solution LOGON.

LOGON integrates data management and accounting systems (SAP R/3) with automated weighing of trucks and silo wagons. It thereby supports cement order processing from the initial placing of orders over their allocation to haulers, the scheduling and loading of trucks up to automated invoicing. The LOGON implementation platform was implemented by AdNovum in close cooperation with Holcim and third parties.

RFID tags and the integration of Mobile Order Processing (MOP) provide LOGON with real-time information on order status, loading operations, truck positions, traffic jams, etc. These features allow to effectively control and ensure the distribution. The new application seamlessly integrates information from all involved processes avoiding redundancy and thereby offers increased user comfort to all parties involved.
